I. Presentation Details
Format
Your panel will take place in a tiered classroom at Northwestern University with a capacity of between 50 and 104 at either the Donald P. Jacobs Center or the James L. Allen Center. The audience will consist of first and second year business school and graduate students from across the country, international students, as well as other conference speakers.
Panel discussions and debates: A student will greet the participants, ask them to introduce themselves to their neighbors, and then introduce the moderator. The moderator will introduce each panelist and the topic at the beginning of the session. The Moderator will then facilitate a 40-45 minute discussion among panelists, followed by a 20-30 minute question and answer session. We are unable to accommodate PowerPoint presentations.
Materials
In keeping with the conference greening principles, we request that no printed materials be distributed in the breakouts. Exceptions may be made for workshops or highly interactive case studies where print materials are necessary for the activities of participants.
If you have materials or resources you would like to make available to attendees please send all relevant links, titles and documents to conference@netimpact.org. Net Impact can include these resources on the website so attendees may review these before or after the conference.
Planning Conference Call
The panel manager will schedule one conference call with the moderator and all speakers two to four weeks prior to the conference. This conference call will last approximately 60 minutes and will provide the moderator and panelists with an opportunity to discuss the topics that will be addressed in the panel and get to know each other. All speakers are expected to participate in this call in order to prepare for a successful conference session. The panel manager will contact you in September to schedule this call.

IV. Registration
You do not need to register as a speaker for the Net Impact Conference. We invite you to participate in conference events, except for the Saturday 9 AM keynote at Kellogg, which for capacity reasons is students-only. If you would prefer to attend the Professionals Summit at the Navy Pier in downtown Chicago, instead of the student sessions at Kellogg, please register for the Summit using the code: 2006SPKR. Please plan to spend your non-speaking time at one conference (either the students or professionals), as travel time between the two locations will limit your ability to participate in both.
V. Day-of Logistics
Friday, October 27th, Navy Pier, downtown Chicago:
All Friday activities will be held at the Festival Hall in Navy Pier. The Navy Pier is located at:
600 E. Grand Avenue, Chicago, IL 60611
Upon your arrival at the Navy Pier, please proceed to the registration area where you will check in and be directed to the speakers’ area. Please plan to arrive at the Navy Pier a minimum of 45 minutes prior to the start of your panel. Your panel manager will meet you in the speakers’ area 30 minutes prior to the start of your panel.

Please visit the Navy Pier website for directions.
Parking is available at the Navy Pier in the East Parking Lot. There will be signage directing you to the lot. If you are arriving by taxi, please use Entrance #2.
Saturday, October 28th and Sunday October 29th, Kellogg School of Management, Evanston:
The conference sessions will take place at the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University, in the Donald P. Jacobs Center or the James L. Allen Center. Upon arrival to campus, please proceed to the Jacobs Center to register. The Donald P. Jacobs Center is located at:
2001 Sheridan Road, Evanston, IL 60208 (maps)
Please plan to arrive at the Jacobs Center a minimum of 45 minutes prior to the start of your panel. At registration in the Jacobs Center, you will be directed to the speakers lounge. Your panel manager will meet you in the speakers lounge 30 minutes prior to the start of your panel.
Directions/Parking at Kellogg
Please visit the Kellogg School of Management website for directions.
Northwestern University has approximately ten different parking lots, and there are three lots close to the Jacobs and Allen Centers, where the conference sessions will be held.
These lots are located as follows:
• A two-level garage is located just east of Sheridan Road on the south side of campus (map)
• A parking lot just north of and adjacent to the Donald P. Jacobs Center (map)
Due to construction, on-campus parking is often difficult. If you are driving, please allow extra time for parking. Except as posted, parking regulations are enforced Monday through Friday, 7:30am to 4:00pm. Street parking is not recommended as the City of Evanston tickets heavily in the residential area around Kellogg/Northwestern University. Street parking is limited to two hour intervals, and the time limit is strictly enforced.
We appreciate your participation in this year’s conference and we look forward to seeing you in October!
