Senior Membership Manager
The Senior Membership Manager is an exciting new position with high potential for strategic leadership, program management, and growth. This new expansion role will help Net Impact reach the next level through effective execution of its 3-year strategy and operational plan. The Senior Membership Manager will be responsible for excellence and growth in member programs and services to Net Impact members. This position provides an exciting platform for professional development and growth, and contains a unique mix of strategic and operational elements. The Senior Membership Manager will report to the Deputy Director, manage team members, and work closely with many key Net Impact team members, including the Membership, Chapters, and Impact Programs teams.
 
The primary responsibilities of the Senior Membership Manager include the following:
 
  • Ultimate responsibility for growing the membership base and increasing membership retention
  • Manage Membership as a “business unit”, including revenue and expense, key metrics, pricing analysis, and membership model assessment and evolution
  • Lead a collaborative team to develop and deliver an outstanding Net Impact member value proposition, including:
    • Identify, design and execute initiatives to deepen and improve the member offerings and programs for all member segments, including graduate students, as well as newer professional, international and undergraduate segments
    • Improve the career-related resources provided to members, including the Job Board and online Career Center
    • Develop and implement better content for member education and learning, including online Learning Center
    • Contribute to Net Impact’s efforts to change management education and curriculum
  • Lead team in providing an outstanding membership experience, including customer service, new member orientations, and smooth renewal processes; act as external face of Net Impact with members
  • Ensure effective organization and usage of membership data, smooth operation of member database platform, and proactively identify opportunities to improve data management
  • Contribute to development and execution of effective communications strategies, messaging, content and marketing collateral for members, working closely with the Marketing & Communications team
  • Responsible for design, creation and analysis of membership surveys, gathering insights from membership metrics, and analyzing membership composition and preferences, to inform decisions on membership strategy
Required Qualifications
  • Minimum of 5 years relevant work experience
  • MBA or equivalent graduate degree a plus
  • Skilled at coordinating a wide range of projects, advanced project management, and supervising multiple staff members
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including writing skills
  • Proven analytic abilities, including quantitative analysis, proficiency with Excel, survey design and analysis
  • Enthusiasm for optimizing processes and improving systems and services
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and creatively
  • High standards for excellence and exceptional attention to detail
  • Flexibility and a sense of humor
  • Experience with membership or chapter-based organizations, product development, program growth are a plus

Communications Manager

The Communications Manager is an exciting position that will help launch Net Impact as a globally renowned brand and thought leader.  Net Impact is a fast-paced, results-driven nonprofit with a global membership focused on using business to improve the world. This new role is perfect for someone who is passionate about sustainable business and wants to build on agency or related media relations experience with increased responsibility and new skills. The manager will report to the Senior Communications Manager and work closely with Net Impact’s Executive Director and program leads to develop and execute communications strategies. The manager will be responsible for positioning Net Impact as a thought leader through securing media and speaking opportunities, and developing compelling content and messaging to support those efforts.

Key Roles and Responsibilities

  • Create communications plans to support Net Impact’s thought leadership positioning
  • Proactively bring creative ideas to infuse Net Impact’s voice into trending news topics; secure results in both traditional and new media venues
  • Write press releases and compelling pitches; craft messaging and position statements
  • Establish quality relationships with reporters and manage Net Impact’s media contacts
  • Develop a calendar of speaking opportunities, proactively place Net Impact speakers and prepare them with compelling speeches and presentations
  • Prep Executive Director and other Net Impact staff for media interviews and speaking opportunities, as appropriate
  • Develop highly engaging story angles, research, and write articles for Net Impact publications and newsletters
  • Develop other marketing and communications pieces, such as annual report, collateral, etc.
  • Effectively utilize new media to achieve communications goals
  • Manage the development of content to support pr efforts, such as survey or report creation
  • Manage external vendors, as appropriate

Qualifications

  • BA/BS or graduate degree
  • At least 3-5 years media relations experience
  • Demonstrated ability to secure top-tier media results
  • Experience in corporate responsibility or sustainability communications is a plus
  • Exceptional writing, editing and proofreading skills 
  • Ability to meet intense deadlines, while juggling multiple projects 
  • Demonstrated ability to write in a sophisticated, yet creative, and fun voice 
  • Razor sharp attention to detail 
  • Outstanding interpersonal communication skills 
  • Demonstrated strong research skills 
  • Computer-proficiency, particularly MS Office 
  • Design, HTML, e-marketing, and other web experience a plus

Program Associate for Chapters
The role of Program Associate is an exciting position with great opportunity for project management, program development, and strategic thinking. This opportunity is ideal for anyone looking to broaden their professional nonprofit experience. As part of the Net Impact Chapters Management Team, the Program Associate will play a key role in overseeing part of the 250+ chapter network. The Program Associate reports directly to the Global Chapters Manager and has the opportunity to work with all members of the Net Impact team including the Deputy Director, the Senior Communications Manager, other Program Associates, Net Impact interns and volunteers.
 
The primary responsibilities of the Program Associate for Chapters include the following:
  • Interact regularly with chapter leaders and partners by answering email inquiries, attending meetings, and hosting phone calls
  • Supporting chapter leaders by managing our chapter leader website portal, creating new resources, and preparing reports
  • Build the chapter network: initiate communications with new chapters and respond to inquiries to expand the Net Impact network
  • Create and implement knowledge-sharing initiatives around chapter activity using surveys, interviews and focus groups
  • Write, organize and manage communications to chapter leaders, including weekly and monthly newsletters, and emails to particular groups. Specific responsibilities include creating content, formatting communication, developing and tracking queries, and circulating messages via email and website
  • Set milestones and timelines as part of project management, in line with Net Impact’s systems for tracking tasks and performance across all programs and offerings to members
  • Organize processes for continual program evaluation (first-year and second-year students, professionals, etc.)
  • Contribute to the member value proposition through supporting new systems, services, and programs
  • Other duties as appropriate  
Required Qualifications

Corporate Partnerships Intern/Fellow

Net Impact is currently seeking an to assist with various tasks central to the organization’s mission.  The intern’s key responsibilities will be crafted throughout the course the internship with consideration for his or her skills and interests, as well as organizational needs that may arise.  The intern will have the opportunity to work with a variety of Net Impact staff on projects that may include sponsorship, communications, marketing, research and analysis, web design, and program-related work.

 
The primary responsibilities of the Corporate Partnerships Intern/Fellow include the following:
  • Corporate Sponsor/Partner Initiatives: Help deliver benefits to improve and add to our sponsor value proposition 
  • External Partnerships: Support the Senior Manager for Corporate & Donor Relations on case competitions and special projects with funders and sponsors 
  • Reports and Surveys: Work with various team members to draft surveys and reports, analyze results 
  • Development Analysis: Work with various team members to perform analysis of sponsorship data, research and benchmarking; support sponsor and prospect tracking and moves management systems 
  • Career: Help add value to the Net Impact Job Board through finding and posting full time jobs and internship opportunities 
  • Conference: Work with the Net Impact conference team on event and content related analysis, logistics, coordination and research 
  • Thought Leadership and media: Support the Senior Communication Manager in identifying relevant trending news topics and support press outreach 
  • Special Projects: Work with the Executive Director and other senior managers on special strategic projects 
  • Other: There are numerous other needs / opportunities at our organization, depending on the individual's interests and abilities.
