ABOUT NET IMPACT
Started in the U.S. 15 years ago, Net Impact is a global network of over 10,000 business students and professionals who are committed to leveraging business practices for positive social and environmental impact.
Net Impact is an established and vibrant NGO driven by an active member base and a content rich headquarters that produces a number of original publications, including newsletters and studies, and more than 800 events around the world each year.
CONFERENCES
Annual Net Impact U.S. Conference Net Impact's most high-profile contribution is an annual conference of 1,900 students and professionals who convene to discuss corporate responsibility processes, practices and trends. Past keynote speakers include Nobel Laureate Al Gore, Chairman of Generation Investment Management; Jeffrey Swartz, President and CEO of The Timberland Company; Ben Cohen, Co-Founder, Ben & Jerry’s; Orin Smith, President and CEO of Starbucks Coffee Company; Maria Otero, President & CEO, ACCION International.
In the U.S., the Net Impact conference is sponsored by major companies such as Starbucks, Microsoft, McDonald’s, ExxonMobil, Coca-Cola and Google. The 2008 U.S. Conference will be held at The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.
First Annual Net Impact Europe Conference Sustainable Prosperity: Taking on the Global Challenge This spring, Net Impact, along with the International Organizations MBA HEC Geneve, INSEAD and Nottingham University Business School will hold our first international conference in Geneva, Switzerland, 12-14 June 2008. Based on the success and reputation of the U.S. based conference, the interest in the 2008 Europe conference has been overwhelmingly positive. Over 500 attendees are expected, including business students from top programs and professionals from the private sector, international organizations and NGOs.
This year’s conference curriculum will include topic tracks in social innovation, partnerships for global challenges, investing in sustainability, measuring results, career change.
