How to Submit Your Resume for the Resume Book

Submit your resume by October 28 at midnight PST to connect with exhibitors at the 2009 Net Impact Conference!

The Expo is a great opportunity to network with companies, organizations, and universities about their sustainability and social responsibility initiatives. While some exhibitors may be recruiting for internships and full-time positions, the majority are coming to the conference with a focus on networking with you.

The annual resume book is a resource to share your information with exhibitors ahead of the conference. Exhibitors may contact you directly to attend an information session, workshop, or other networking event.

Instructions:
Please follow these instructions to submit your resume into the Net Impact Resume Book. The naming convention we've outlined below is especially important.

1) Register for the Net Impact Conference.  Only resumes submitted by individuals who are already registered for the conference or an official member of the Cornell Design Team will be included in the resume book.

2) Download our resume template: Resume template (Word document). You may use an alternate template, but we can only include resumes that are one-page. If you use your own format, please include five key words and phrases for easy searchability within the body of your resume.  These keywords will allow employers to easily identify your main areas of expertise and interest.  Any keywords submitted in a supplementary email will not be included.

3) Please save your resume as a PDF. We regret we cannot include resumes in any other file format. If you don’t have a PDF creator, download a free one from the web.  Try Primo PDF or CutePDF.

4) Please label your PDF with the following naming convention:

- Graduate students: GRAD, your grad year, your last name, then your first name, then your middle initial/name. For example, “GRAD2010SMITHMARKJACOB.pdf”

- Professionals: PROF, your last name, then your first name, then your middle initial/name. For example, "PROFSMITHMARKJACOB.pdf"

- Undergraduates: UG, your grad year, your last name, then your first name, then your middle initial/name. For example, "UG2012SMITHMARKJACOB.pdf"

5) Email the following two items to resumes@netimpact.org with the subject line mirroring the filepath of your resume. For example, GRAD2010SMITHMARKJACOB

1 - Your resume

2 - Proof of conference registration in the form of a conference receipt in your name -OR- your registration confirmation email as copied text or an attachment.  If you did not save either of these documents, please email Lauren Davis to secure a replacement before submitting your resume.

Please note:

  • You MUST BE a registered attendee to submit your resume
  • Please choose no more than five key words or phrases at the bottom of your resume

We regret that we will not be able to include your resume if:

  • It is longer than one page
