FAQs
General Information What are the dates of the Conference?
October 27 - 29, 2006
What is the recommended Conference dress code?
We recommend that participants dress in business casual attire appropriate for a colder climate. Some participants may opt to dress more formally for the Career Fair and Expo on Friday. Where will the Conference be?
This year's conference will be held in the Chicago, IL area. The conference is hosted by the Kellogg School of Management, at Northwestern University in Evanston, IL. Many of the weekend's events will be held in downtown Chicago. Students can learn more here and professionals can learn more here. What is the Professionals Summit?
For the first time in its history, Net Impact is offering programming specifically for professionals. This allows the conference to better meet the needs of our professional network and accommodate more people at the conference (while it is exciting to sell out, we ideally want to accommodate all people who are interested in gathering to focus on social and environmental impact ideas and plans). The Professionals Summit is part of the entire conference. While breakout sessions are either for professionals (in downtown Chicago) or students (at the Kellogg campus), keynotes, networking and the Career Fair and Expo will include all conference attendees. Is it possible for students to participate in the Professionals Summit panel sessions? And vice versa?
This year's conference is designed so that there are plenty of opportunities to network and meet with all conference attendees. The panel sessions on Saturday and Sunday morning will be limited to either students or professionals. Due to capacity constraints, we are unable to accommodate requests to participate in both aspects of the conference during Saturday and Sunday panel sessions.
When should I plan to arrive?
The Career Fair and Expo begins on Friday, October 27th at 1:00pm. Participants should plan to arrive by Friday morning to allow enough time to drop off luggage, and travel to the Navy Pier in downtown Chicago. We will not have luggage storage at the Navy Pier on Friday.
