Wal-Mart Corporate Recruiting Coordinator
“Net Impact has opened doors of learning for me,” says Makisa Upton, a founding member of the Rogers/Bentonville, Arkansas Net Impact Professional Chapter and Corporate Recruiting Coordinator at Wal-Mart. “We have a duty to do better than those who have gone before us. And what better way to accomplish this than to band together with like-minded although diverse and unique people to make sure everyone knows and understands the intrinsic value of sustainability.”
Although Upton says she is “relatively new” to sustainability and CSR, she has taken to it with enthusiasm, leading a Personal Sustainability Project at Wal-Mart and working on community outreach in the Rogers/Bentonville Professional Chapter.
