Asheen Phansey

Corporate Sustainability Leader
Sustainserv

Asheen brings over a decade of corporate sustainability experience to Sustainserv, specializing in sustainability strategy development and change management; product innovation, biomimicry, and lifecycle thinking; and carbon accounting. His contributions to the field include drafting the Aerospace sector guidance to the Greenhouse Gas Protocol, co-developing the Handprinting of Innovation methodology for positive impact assessments, and launching the first design-integrated LCA dashboard.

From 2010-2017 Asheen led product- and corporate sustainability for the $3B French software developer Dassault Systèmes. He was awarded Net Impact’s “Impact at Work” award in 2012 for launching their first CSR employee engagement program; for 2018, Dassault Systèmes was named the #1 on the Global 100 Most Sustainable Corporations list by Corporate Knights. His prior professional experience spans the software, aerospace, and biotech sectors.

Asheen lectures or advises students at Babson College and Harvard University, and serves on the national advisory councils for Net Impact and the Power Shift Network, both of which empower young people to drive sustainable change. He is an active proponent of carbon pricing legislation, having recently testified on behalf of the business community at a committee hearing at the Massachusetts State House.

Asheen holds a bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering from Cornell University and an MBA from Babson College. In his ample spare time, Asheen enjoys learning new languages (currently working on #5, German), philosophizing over espresso or whiskey (the latter if you’re buying), running (sometimes after his young kids), tweeting (@asheen), and wondering if Net Impact board members will read this far down in his bio.
