I have over thirteen years of financial operations and management experience, including four years at VolunteerMatch as Finance Director and CFO. Prior to joining Net Impact in 2008, I was a consultant with KPMG’s Global Grants Program, advising foundations and public charities on the development and administration of their domestic and international grant making programs. I began my career as a strategy consultant with Gemini Consulting.
An active volunteer, I've led projects with international NGOs including NESsT in Chile, the Amy Biehl Foundation in South Africa, and Grameen Bank in Bangladesh. I have served as treasurer of the board for HandsOn Bay Area (HOBA) since 2008, and served for three years on the board of directors of KIPP SF Bay Academy prior to that. In 2011, I was named Bay Area CFO of the Year for Community Service.
I hold a B.S. in International Business from the Haas School of Business at U.C. Berkeley and an MBA in Finance and Entrepreneurial Management from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. I live in San Francisco with my husband, Derek, and our two smiley young ones.
- The last song I listened to was: Old MacDonald sung by my three year old
- When I need to relax, I: Go grocery shopping - alone
- I never leave the house without: Hand-sanitizer - I'm addicted!
- The part of my job that keeps me heading to work each day is: The opportunity to engage in grown-up conversation (actually, it's the people. We have an awesome team!)
