For 20 years, Joanne has led organizations to fundraising success. She has helped nonprofits raise over $150 million dollars based on 3 basic principles:
- Fight for what you are passionate about
- People give to people, not organizations
- Raising money is about helping organizations achieve their missions, not grow organizations.
A lifelong student of the art of interpersonal communication, Joanne connected naturally to the role of cultivating and stewarding donor and vendor relationships. She believes telling stories are an incredible tool for fundraising, raising mission awareness, mobilizing volunteers and building trust.
A native New Yorker, Joanne loves all things Broadway. She is passionate about cooking—especially baking.Joanne holds a B.A. Communications from Queens College and an MBA in Leadership from JFK University.

The best advice I ever got was: Never ask someone to do something you wouldn't do yourself.
The most fascinating person I ever met: Julia Child, at the James Beard Awards for the nomination of a cookbook I co-authored.
