I am a storyteller. Over my 30-year career, the medium and audience have changed, but my focus has remained the same: synthesizing ideas into beautiful prose to persuade others to action. I've plied my craft as a lawyer in private practice, as an advisor to government officials, on political campaigns, as a baseball and pop culture writer, and now as a communications strategist. I also volunteer as a member of the Board of Directors of Or Shalom Jewish Community, San Francisco's first and only Reconstruction synagogue. I chair the Tikkun Olam Committee, overseeing the synagogue's social action efforts. I received a B.A. in political science from Tufts University and a J.D. from Harvard Law School. I live in San Francisco with my husband and two teenagers. When I'm not writing (and sometimes even when I am), I can be found drinking coffee, watching baseball, or traveling.
I grew up wanting to be: a sportscaster
The last song I listed to was: Suddenly I See by KT Tunstall
When I need to relax I: go hiking in the woods
