- My most useful skill: code switching between cultures, which I acquired as I navigated my roots in both Mexico and the United States. This skill has allowed me to build alliances across diverse groups.
- The most satisfying thing about my work is: I get to learn a little about a lot of topics and wear many different hats while working on programs that include communities, empower people, and respect the environment.
- When I need to relax, I: play the ukulele and tend to my plants and worm farm.
