Net Impact Amsterdam welcomes Luc van de Boom as Head of Sustainable Built Environments

We are happy to share that Luc van de Boom has joined the Net Impact Amsterdam leadership team as Head of Sustainable Built Environments. In this voluntary role, he is responsible for engaging with the real estate, infrastructure and urban planning sectors on sustainability and impact. This is in addition to his full-time job.

Luc also works as a Product Lead for Sustainability at Cushman and Wakefield, a globally active real estate services firm. Here he is responsible for defining and safeguarding the sustainability ambitions of Cushman and Wakefield's product range and for developing the firm's sustainability analytics platform for commercial real estate investors and corporate occupiers and owners. Prior, Luc worked on a number of independent sustainability projects across the real estate sector and was an Associate at the Global Real Estate Sustainability Benchmark (GRESB) based in Amsterdam. Luc holds a MSc. in Real Estate Management and Development and a BSc. in Architecture and Planning from Eindhoven University of Technology.

Luc’s personal mission is to accelerate the real estate market to develop better buildings and to create places for healthier people. "When you put people at the centre of building design and operations decisions, everyone benefits," says van de Boom.

"Luc brings the high levels of enthusiasm and expertise that are necessary to effectively drive change. He is a problem solver, a connector, and a huge dose of positivity! We know that if the built environment progresses on sustainability, it can have extremely wide-reaching positive impact, so we're excited for Luc to help us engage the local sector and abroad," said Andrea Palmer, Founder and President of Net Impact Amsterdam.
