THE LEEDS SCHOOL OF BUSINESS ANNOUNCES THE
14th ANNUAL NET IMPACT CASE COMPETITION

Boulder, CO (11/10/14) – The University of Colorado Boulder is pleased to announce the 14th annual Net Impact Case Competition (NICC). This year’s corporate sponsor is CH2M HILL Foundation, the philanthropic arm of CH2M HILL, a global consulting, design, and project management firm with an emphasis on finding sustainable solutions in energy, water, and infrastructure engineering. The Leeds School of Business MBA program plans and hosts the event, which consists of two rounds of competition. The first round will be held on December 6th during which the top 20 teams are chosen to advance based on virtual submissions. These teams will fly from all over the country to attend the finals round in Boulder taking place over the weekend of February 20th-21st.

With the assistance of CH2M HILL and Dave Payne, Leeds faculty advisor, the NICC team writes the case for the competition. This year’s case focuses on the timely topic of using natural infrastructure to create resilient coastlines with environmental, social, and economic benefit. Industry professionals from the Boulder/Denver area gather to judge both rounds, culminating in prize money of $10,000, $5,000 and $2,500 awarded to the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winning teams.

Net Impact Case Competition (NICC)
The Net Impact Case Competition is the premiere case competition focused on solving real world sustainability business challenges. The format of this competition allows the participating teams approximately two weeks to prepare a plan that address all aspects of a triple bottom line business proposal. The competition is an opportunity to bring together students, executives, and businesses that share a commitment to sustainable business practices.
