Tin, tantalum, tungsten and gold are referred to as “conflict minerals” because of the armed groups that illegally profit from some mining in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. Best Buy cares about this issue, not only because we are a responsible company, but as a manufacturer of our Exclusive Brands products, we now must annually report the sources of our conflict mineral to the Security and Exchange Commission (SEC).
