Net Impact: Brandeis and Students for Environmental Action (SEA) held a panel on an array of different types of environmental nonprofit organizations that one can get involved. For this panel representatives from the two campus organizations spoke about advocacy and ecosystem-based organizations that they had either done work with or did research on academically. Afterwards, we learned about the education-based program of Good Earth Nepal, which is aimed at teaching the Nepalese people to make sustainable homes out of “earth-bags” a unique material which is earthquake resistant, cheap, and made of renewable materials. After they explained their work, the representatives from Good Earth Nepal described their partnerships and ways they generate funding.
