Earth Day is a worldwide event to raise awareness on the topic of sustainability, and each year sustainable RSM organizes an event to bring Earth Day to Erasmus University. RSM Net Impact members attended the event and also made commitments to playing their part in making the world a better place.
The Food Cabinet presented on Food waste and recruited volunteers for the Damn Foodwaste event in Rotterdam.
Next Rotterzwam performed a company presentation on their sustainability initiatives.
Finally Competa IT presented their way of developing sustainable software.

There was an opportunity to get in touch with sustainability by being able to volunteer with the Food Cabinet or to support the "Paris Climate Summit". Students could digitally sign the ‘Live Earth Road to Paris Campaign’ and be part of the 1 billion civilian voices they are trying to collect to push for carbon emission reduction.

Leading up to earth day, RSM Net Impact club members participated in Earth Day Network's A Billion Acts of Green® (the world's largest environmental service campaign) to build commitments to protect the planet. Students could register their actions to protect the environment, such as washing laundry in cold water, or planting a tree, to volunteering in a community centre or clean-up.
