"A community of leaders, driving a global movement of people using business as a force for good." This is how B Lab defines the B Corp movement, which gathers entrepreneurs and corporate leaders driving their organizations to positively impact every person influenced by their operations and take into account the interests of all stakeholders—not just shareholders.

Join us virtually for an insightful evening to learn more what being a B Corp means and how they are disrupting the status quo of for-profit capitalism. Special guest Christopher Marquis, the Samuel C. Johnson Professor in Sustainable Global Enterprise at Cornell University, will discuss his latest book, “Better Business: How the B Corp Movement Is Remaking Capitalism”, then be joined by a panel of thought leaders in the sustainability and B Corp space for a discussion and audience Q&A.

Panelists:

  • Christopher Marquis, the Samuel C. Johnson Professor in Sustainable Global Enterprise at Cornell University
  • Carla Heim, Senior Advisor, Purpose Entrepreneurship, Business Development Bank of Canada (BDC)
  • Alison Schneider, Vice President, Responsible Investment (AIMCo)
