Calling all Net Impact Minneapolis Professional Chapter Members. 2014 is a great time to get more involved your Net Impact Chapter. We have lots of exciting events and initiatives in the works, and the national Net Impact Conference is coming to Minneapolis in November. Q: What type of entity is Net Impact Minneapolis Professional Chapter?
A: Net Impact Minneapolis is a registered 501(c)3 nonprofit that works with the Net Impact national organization to give life to our shared mission: “To inspire, educate, and equip individuals to use the power of business to create a more socially and environmentally sustainable world.”

Q: What does the Board do?
A: In short, everything. We are a working Board, there is no staff, so everyone brings their passion for sustainability and pitches in to bring to life the board members ideas for events and initiatives. A few of the things we did over the past year: brought the Global Reporting Initiative training back to the Twin Cities for the second year, organized a sustainability practitioners panel with representatives from 3M, Best Buy, and General Mills, gave out 4 competitive scholarships to the Net Impact Conference in Silicon Valley, held an awesome event around sustainable brewing with Summit, Fulton, Bang and Mighty Axe Hops.

Q: How many people are on the Board?
A: There are 4 officers (president, vice president, treasurer, and secretary) and up to 9 at-large members for a maximum size of 13

Q: Who is eligible to serve on the Board?
A: Members in good standing are eligible to serve on the Board. This means you must be a member of the National Net Impact organization and have the Net Impact Minneapolis Professional Chapter designated as your chapter.

Q: What if I’m interested in serving, but I’m not a member yet?
