There were two different information sessions hosted to provide details about the Board Fellows Program, commitment required including class and types of projects.

The goal of Board Fellows is to prepare Kellogg students to be socially responsible leaders through academic training in broad governance and experiential learning through service on nonprofit board. 50 fellows are selected each year through competitive application process (over 200 applicants applied illustrating high interest in the program). This is a great program for not just those students who want a career in the space but for the many students who are socially conscious.

The board Fellow is matched with a Chicago-area nonprofit board of directors for 14 months, beginning at the end first year. Furthermore, each fellow studies nonprofit board governance through two courses taught by Kellogg faculty: Nonprofit Board Governance and Advanced Board Governance.
