The Net Impact Club at Kellogg is a community that is passionate about using business as a force for good both while at Kellogg and beyond.

About us

Net Impact empowers a new generation to drive social and environmental change throughout their careers. Our volunteer-led chapter drives change by creating a like-minded community and providing events and programs that support members who aim to use business as a force for environmental & social impact. Join us!

At Kellogg, we believe in the power of our management education to help us drive social change across sectors. We believe that the most compelling frontier in any discipline, industry, or sector—be it finance or marketing; CPG or consulting; social enterprise, nonprofit, business or government—is where innovators are using the business toolkit to drive social impact. At Kellogg, we educate, inspire, and equip leaders who will drive this change and advance these frontiers.

Programs

The Kellogg Impact Consulting Club - matches teams of Kellogg students with Chicago non-profits and socially-minded entrepreneurs who are looking for assistance in dealing with a specific business problem.

Kellogg Board Fellows - provides students the opportunity to join a local non-profit as a board member for 15 months. Board membership is complemented by board governance academic courses and social opportunities.

Kellogg Corps - places small teams of MBA students on two- to six-week long consulting projects with non-profit organizations in developing countries worldwide.

Net Impact Interview Prep Groups - our main program for career support is interview prep groups, similar to Net Impact’s Map program, in which we provide support and guidance to individuals looking for jobs in the social impact space. This includes resume and cover letter review, guidance on company search and selection, and interview prep. This past year we had 11 students take part in IPGs with every student receiving at least one offer in the social impact field.

Kellogg Cares Day - is Kellogg's largest community outreach event and the ONLY "One Kellogg" service event of the year which includes all full-time, part-time and EMBA students, JVs, faculty/staff, and alumni. Kellogg Cares Day provides an easy opportunity for you to give back to the community in and around Evanston and Chicago.

Toyota Mobility Transportation - this event in co-sponsorship with Net Impact Central and Toyota brought together students from the broader Northwestern community (across different programs) for a design thinking challenge. 82 students registered for the event (52 grad about 50% of which were Kellogg, 29 undergrad) and the results of the competition were in an effort to provide support to Toyota.

Hult Prize - Kellogg Net Impact hosted the Hult Prize competition for Northwestern in which 10 teams competed (40 students including both graduate and undergraduate students across Northwestern’s campus) in December of 2015. This event hosted provided students the opportunity to “get their hands dirty” to solve a big social problem. For the Hult Prize, we also hosted workshops for students to further improve their pitch giving skills.
