Join Bay Area Impact Design (BAID) and Net Impact for a FREE kick-off event to unite students interested in business, design, and social impact. Held at California College of the Arts, this event will offer:

An Impact Hall of Fame

Students from schools participating in Net Impact’s impact design initiative will have the opportunity to highlight their previous and ongoing social impact projects, in business, design, and other fields.

A Design for Social Impact Workshop

Design thinkers and doers from CCA and other chapters will lead us through an exercise that explores the core tenets of design thinking and human-centered design practice. Most importantly, we’ll explore what this means when we’re designing solutions to real social and environmental challenges — where the impact we make really matters.

A Special Guest

Jonny Price, Senior Director of San Francisco-based non-profit Kiva Zip — a 0% interest small business loan program started by the inimitable Kiva.org, which works with communities right here in the United States — will join us to talk about working in the fast-moving, constantly-changing world of social impact, and how human-centered design thinking can help us rise to human-centered social challenges.
