As part of the Boston Net Impact chapter's 2015 Career Summit, Simmons School of Management Net Impact has organized two panels: Challenges with Measuring Data & Technology for Impact: Pace of Change.

Challenges with Measuring Data
Description: Given the challenges we face today in an ever changes world, it seems that measuring the challenges and changes of the actual data can be difficult. When it comes to sustainability this can be even more difficult as the globe begins to work setting a baseline for ourselves on what a “good” or “normal” reading should be in any particular field. The best example of needing to set a baseline is with energy and pollution. The purpose of this panel is to further discuss and investigate how we can overcome those challenges, and ensure we are carving a path for a more sustainable and renewable future.
Moderator: Indra Guertler, Professor of Practice, Simmons College School of Management
Confirmed Panelists:
Ellen Shea, Analyst, EDF Climate Corps
Kathleen Luvisi, Senior Engineer, Alternative Resources, Inc.
Ryan Raffety, Assistant Professor, Simmons College

Technology for Impact: Pace of Change
Description: With technology ever-changing, companies and customers struggle to keep up with the pace of change. To move the dial, companies must offer newer technology faster than their competition. Doing so means investing in research, development, training, and customer support. This panel discusses the challenges companies face when developing responsive solutions for customers, empowering their staff to lead amid change, and developing a sustainable work culture.
Moderator: Paula Gutlove, Professor of Practice, Simmons College School of Management
Confirmed Panelists:
Karen Mancini, Operations Director, EMC
Karen Greenleaf, Content Strategy, Google Play for Education
