We have been looking for new ways to get our members involved outside of our meeting time and outside of our volunteer efforts. We thought a great way to do this would be to integrate sustainable business tours where we actually go out and see how companies in our local community are integrating socially and environmentally responsible practices into their daily business operations. We want to show members that companies do actually practice what they preach!

Our first tour of the season was the Rad Dish Cafe, a newly student founded co-op cafe located right on our campus. They just launched so we not only wanted to drive more traffic to the cafe but also wanted to inform students that their sustainable ideas can be executed and can make an impact on campus .We learned all about the process of how some environmental science and urban design students came together and met up with a few business students to make the vision of a locally sourced cafe come to life on campus.
