Net Impact McCoy College had two levels of sustainability involvement in the Summer X GAMES. ESPN selected interns from only our organization, 6 out of 6 positions who worked 18 hours/day preceding the week of June 5-8 and continued that pace during and before the games. Fabian De Garbo from ESPN and his crew worked hand in glove with the Net Impact interns setting up Green Planet and initiatives around the 400 acre track, the only in the world focused on sustainability. 76 Volunteers worked the shifts as interns, project managers and resource recovery volunteers and data analysts. with 160,000 attending the event. How spectacular to be the only ones in the world working in this arena on these projects that make a huge impact in the 3 P's.

Second level were the project managers who dealt with the logistics of hundreds of volunteers in sustainability at the various events. With this being the first launch of the effort in Austin-Elroy area, many unknown variables occurred. Also Net Impact and Texas State brought over a hundred volunteers, Working with in tandem with Circuit of the Americas in ESPN's paradigm, Jahan Wadiwalla was hired by COTA after the event to be their Coordinator of Sustainability while a student at Texas State.

This was the largest watched and attended Summer X GAMES ever with revenue of over $17.6 M in the June 5-8 events.
