In the fastest growing city in the US, San Marcos hit Stage 4 out of 5 Drought Conditions in June 2014. Net Impact and Texas State students research the effect of growth on the available water and water shed. With the only campus in the US to have headwaters of a river, San Marcos River, the need to protect the river with the 8 endangered species is critical to quality, sustainable life. This is being presented to the Mayor of San Marcos and the City Council Members, each of who will get a copy of the Net Impact research/book.
