The event will provide a hands-on approach to the concept of a circular economy, an idea contrasting with the current economic structure, a ‘disruptive innovation’. The salon will provide real-world examples of innovative repurposing and re-use, integrating them into the shift towards circular economy which is being taken up by an increasing number of businesses and agencies. By involving the audience in problem-solving exercises in the context of transition towards a circular economy, this event will focus on disruptive innovation, for the purpose of a healthy and sustainable economic environment. The event will be facilitated by Susan McLaren, Senior Lecturer in Design & Technology, the University of Edinburgh.
