We need your help answering this question: What social innovations would produce more and more nutritious food with less water and greater profits for farmers?

Water supply and global hunger are critical issues that need to be solved. Next month, Net Impact and CollaborateUp are kicking off the Nourishing Nine Billion SolutionLab – a series of events where student teams and industry experts dig into the complex issues surrounding our global food system, with the goal of generating groundbreaking, actionable ideas to feed 9 billion people by 2050.

Fletcher Net Impact is hosting the first in this series of events on Friday, April 17, and will focus on the question above.

Participants will gain valuable, cutting-edge skills in innovation and systems thinking – marketable and concrete skills you can put to use in your classes and beyond. You’ll also have the opportunity to meet and mingle with like-minded students in the Boston community. Experts from USAID, Monsanto, the Friedman School of Nutrition, and other leading food organizations will provide a variety of perspectives and background information, and will work directly with teams to generate specific ideas and solutions.

Most importantly, industry leaders working on food challenges will see YOUR ideas through social media and at the Net Impact Conference.

Experts will include:
- Ku McMahan, USAID
- Jose Maria Cardoso da Silva, Conservation International
- Daniel Goldstein, Monsanto
- Professor Timothy Griffin, Tufts Friedman School of Nutrition
- Professor James Tillotson, Tufts Friedman School of Nutrition

Register by April 8 to join us and transform your passion into powerful action!
