Grab your dinner and join DCNI upstairs at Cava Grill for a discussion on the benefits of locally sourced foods. Our speaker, Jeff Prost-Greene, is the Director of Operations for Up Top Acres, a social enterprise that grows food on local roofs. This event will have a limited number of tickets to allow participants time to ask questions and engage in direct conversation with the speaker and other attendees. Please note that the ticket does not include dinner.

About Up Top Acres: Up Top Acres is reimagining what a farm looks like. We grow food on roofs - converting neglected spaces into productive farmland and environmental safeguards. We create spaces for communities to interact with and learn about food, in order to establish agriculture as a fixture of city life.

More about Jeff: Jeff has spent the last few years installing green roofs for one of the leading greenroof companies in the D.C. area, working at one of DC’s largest urban farms, and serving as a Sustainable DC ambassador. Jeff studied business as an undergrad and while abroad, completed graduate courses where he led a team in conducting an extensive report on a business’ triple bottom line. Jeff brings a background in triple bottom line analysis, marketing, and experience working in a startup. Jeff graduated cum laude from the University of Massachusetts-Amherst with a Bachelor of Arts in Marketing.
