DC Net Impact Professional Chapter (DCNI) and Women Impact Investing Network (WIIN) Present:

Impact Investing - How is it Defined and What Can We Expect?

Have you heard the term "impact investing" a thousand times, but also heard many different definitions of it? Are you wondering how it is officially defined, as well as the various ways in which you can invest responsibly? Are you also curious as to how the field has evolved and what we can expect in the future? Do you want to learn how you can participate?

Join DCNI and WIIN in an intriguing panel discussion on these topics and more, as we explore impact investing from multiple different angles. Our panel of experts will answer your questions about what they are seeing in the sector, how it differs from traditional investing, and the different ways that you, the retail investor, can hop on board. We invite you to stay afterwards to network and mingle with our panelists and audience members.

This is the first of a series of three panel events on impact investing, so stay tuned for future installments!

SPEAKER BIOS:

Scott Sacknoff is the CEO of SerenityShares Investments, an RIA and ETF fund sponsor focused on democratizing and expanding impact investing using public equities. At SerenityShares, we believe it is possible to achieve a market return or better while investing in a manner consistent with your values. The key begins with defining the issues affecting society and the planet and identifying the companies that offer products and services that address those challenges. To this end, Mr. Sacknoff helped design the proprietary, rules-based (passive) SSI Impact Index and its 20 themes ranging from environmental stewardship and renewable energy to eldercare and community building -- categories aligned with the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and which, by design, exclude firms involved with weapons, fossil fuel exploration and production, and tobacco. A serial entrepreneur, Scott has a diversified background in business consulting, index design and development, and venture capital; has appeared on CNBC, Bloomberg TV, and Canada's BNN; and has been quoted by the media for more than 20 years.
