The West Chester University Net Impact Chapter went to a breakout conference hosted at Philadelphia University in coordination with the Sustainable Business Network of Philadelphia. Our chapter was pleasantly surprised to be the youngest attendees at the program. The breakout sessions were all created by those who attended the conference early on in the day and those sessions that were found to be most popular were the pool that all the attendees had to choose from. Each session was about an hour in length. Our chapter first attended a session that was an open discussion forum on re-purposing old historical structures throughout the city and suburbs of Philadelphia. The people in our group consisted of small business owners, large players in the corporate world, and graduate students. The next session was listening to small business owners jump start their dreams into profitable realities. Overall, this was a valuable and interesting experience for all who attended.
