AmeriCorps Verde River Technician

This AmeriCorps position will engage community members in implementation of the Verde River Flow and habitat Restoration Initiative with the Conservancy and partners at Friends of Verde River Greenway and Verde natural Resource Conservation District. This initiate is aimed at improving riparian health by removing non-native invasive plants and restoring flow to Verde River by partnering with agricultural water users. Work will be focused in the Verde Valley but opportunities for travel will occur.
Desired Skills & Experience
High school diploma, some college and conservation experience desired. Physically able to traverse and hike over rough terrain; capable of considerable physical exertion and/or muscular strain; good written and verbal communication skills, experience with MS Office (including Access); strong interest in environmental conservation.
