Summary of the Position:
This is an entry-level position for an enthusiastic individual eager to join and play an integral role as part of Women Deliver’s dynamic Communications team. The Assistant supports all logistical aspects of the Communications Team with emphasis around website support, Salesforce support, newsletter management, and general copyediting. The Assistant, in this new role, reports to the Manager, Communications and works closely with the Associate, Communications.

Provide essential day-to-day logistical support for Women Deliver’s Communications work and team including budget, contract, and expense management
Provide general website administration support including daily updating of new content
Point person for Salesforce on the Communications team; ability to engage other staff on the benefits of Salesforce and provide training and basic user support
Manage Women Deliver’s newsletter including content, tracking engagement, and system support
Provide copyediting support for general Communications materials
Assist with daily media monitoring
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications, Skills, Education, and Knowledge:
Bachelor’s degree in related field required
0-3 years of relevant experience (including internships) ideally in communications
Passion for gender equality, global maternal, sexual and reproductive health and rights issues
Excellent writing, editing and verbal communication skills
Experience with Salesforce preferred
Experience with newsletter management or design preferred
Ability to effectively work in a fast-paced environment under tight deadlines and conduct work independently
Strong attention to detail and a track record of consistently delivering high-quality work
Excellent interpersonal skills, flexibility, and resourcefulness in solving problem
Must be able eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship
