Associate Manager- Sustainability and Circular Economy

Support the senior director of the Sustainability and Circular Economy Program by helping implement core sustainability programming and the CCC’s flagship recycling initiative, Beyond 34: Recycling and Recovery for a New Economy. The person in this position will perform a variety of duties to ensure the smooth functioning of the program using organizational, communications, research, event management, fundraising, and administrative skills.

•Ensure that CCC delivers on its value proposition by assisting with the design and execution of core programming and deliverables.
•Manage existing programming and initiatives to deliver maximum value to CCC supporters and the sustainability field.
•Maintain direct oversight over Beyond 34: Recycling and Recovery for a New Economy partners, projects, timelines, funder deliverables, on-the-ground and virtual convenings, and prioritized projects.
•Provide communications support, such as writing original content, editing, and proofreading for marketing emails, weekly newsletters, CCC blog, webpages, presentations, and social media.
•Conduct research to stay on top of circular economy and sustainability trends, organizations to engage, issues to focus on, and research CCC can spearhead.
•Support events through agenda development, speaker invites and coordination, website language, registration, on-site support, and other logistics.
•Represent CCC at events and spread the word about its offerings and impact and develop and maintain relationships on behalf of the program.
•Monitor stakeholder engagement across Sustainability and Circular Economy Program offerings, identify opportunities for deeper engagement, and assist with maintaining contacts and network engagements in CCC’s content management database.

•Bachelor's degree plus 3-5 years of demonstrated experience in program management in the corporate sustainability field. Master’s degree desired.
•Solid understanding of and an interest in sustainability, corporate citizenship, and CSR issues.
•Ability to think about program execution at both the strategic and granular levels.
•Proficiency, professionalism, and sound judgment.
•Ability to take the initiative, evaluate opportunities, prioritize deliverables, respond to feedback, and execute effectively.
•Experience in organizing events, from the planning stage through the event itself and post-event activities and deliverables.
•Team player.
•Strong attention to detail.
•Proficiency in Microsoft Office (e.g., Excel, Word, PPT).
•Ability to travel up to 25% of the time.
