Summary of the Position:
The Associate, Office of the President (OOP) provides project level support to the Chief Operating Officer (COO). The Associate will serve as a project manager for COO led, organizational-wide initiatives including but not limited to: evaluation and strategic planning, coordination team meetings, organizational-wide retreats, long term work and budget planning, and the WD2022 Conference (site visit phase). This role will also provide ad-hoc support to other senior staff within the OOP including the Senior Legal Advisor and the President/CEO as needed.

Support in the coordination and project management of the development of a new strategic plan and accompanying evaluation (process launches October 2019 and concludes in spring 2020)
Coordinate and lead in support of the Coordination Team; ensuring agendas, meeting notes, and next steps are provided and follow-up is monitored
Track organizational milestones in support of the strategic plan and Coordination Team decision making
Coordinate weekly and monthly meeting agendas including notes, tracking actions, and next steps
Support the COO and Director of Communications related to internal communications; assist in improving and increasing communication flow from/through/between teams; ensuring transparency and consistency
Work across the organization to develop and implement cross-organizational process and systems that increase organizational effectiveness
Support with Board Affairs in partnership with the Manager, OOP
Lead special projects for the COO; undertake analysis and research topics as needed
Lead project specific task forces and working groups as needed
Provide administrative support the COO and as needed the Senior Legal Advisor
Other tasks as assigned

Qualifications, Skills, Education, and Knowledge:
Commitment to Women Deliver’s mission, purpose and values
BA/BS required
2-4 years of work experience; management and/or business consulting experience highly preferred
Preference for prior nonprofit work experience (full time or internship focused)
Experience supporting a high level nonprofit executive, senior staff member or board member preferred
Ability to see and understand the big picture and translate into a strategic process
Ability to draft and copyedit written communication effectively such as memos, talking points, emails, and presentations
Must be highly organized, with a strong work ethic and attentive to detail
Advanced Excel, PowerPoint, and data visualization skills
Experience with travel, support logistics, expense management and email correspondence preferred
Ability to handle multiple projects and tasks with frequently shifting priorities
Ability to maintain confidentiality with sensitive information
Solutions-oriented approach with strong analytical/reasoning skills
Professional and friendly demeanor and strong customer service skills
Must be able to work proactively and independently, multi-task, and work under tight deadlines
Dependability, diplomacy, and a sense of humor are necessary
Flexibility to work overtime when needed
Ability to travel domestically and internationally as needed
