Net Impact

Net Impact is currently seeking early career professionals who are passionate about social and environmental issues to join our growing team. With responsibility for core programmatic, events, marketing, and operations functions, you will ensure the execution of our program portfolio, annual conference as well as efficient and effective ongoing operations.

Hands-on individuals who can take projects from concept to implementation and who can channel quantitative and qualitative insights into unique ideas will excel in these positions. The roles are fast-paced and will prove challenging and demanding during high volume times, so the individuals must also be efficient, agile, and resourceful.   • Bachelor’s Degree preferred
  • 1+ years of related experience (could be concurrent with school)
  • High standards for excellence, outstanding organizational skill, and keen attention to detail

  • Ability to work effectively and independently in a fast-paced, results-oriented, dynamic environment

Net Impact is currently recruiting for the following areas:

Associate, Email Marketing


  • Support the Outreach Manager to identify and recruit talented student program participants
  • Identify and interview exceptional members, creating engaging member success stories and profiles

Digital Marketing / Content Creation

  • Create original content and manage brand marketing across social media and web channels with the goal of amplifying programs to our target audiences
  • Write and develop marketing communications including emails, newsletters, web content and printed collateral
  • Provide campaign support, updating and maintaining campaign kits and other marketing materials
  • Act as a steward of Net Impact’s brand messaging, maintaining consistency throughout collateral

Data Management

  • Use systems like Salesforce to maintain detailed records with the goal of applying this information to drive decision-making
  • Measure and analyze success of strategies and tactics and make recommendations for future projects

Associate, Event Operations


  • Assist in logistical components of conference planning including: food and beverage, AV, hotel and accommodations, and vendor management
  • Support special events logistics
  • Manage online registrations and assist in processing group registrations, refunds, and transfers
  • Lead and train a team of volunteers at the conference
  • Support other event operations, including direct project management opportunities aligned with interests and skills


  • Act as a liaison to and communicate accurate and comprehensive event information with sponsors, speakers, and internal departments
  • Oversee conference registration and website/app maintenance
  • Assist in survey design and post-conference analysis

Experience: 1-2 years of producing professional events, preferred

Associate, Programs

Community Engagement

  • Design and execute an innovative plan for keeping student program participants engaged and informed via email communication, social media, and online tools. Experience engaging remote audiences is a plus
  • Develop learning materials and run webinar trainings that equip program participants to lead campaigns
  • Support creating and leading live  training sessions at the Annual Net Impact Conference held each fall
  • Ensure participants understand program requirements and subsequently meet their deadlines and goals, while troubleshooting issues as they arise
  • Write compelling communications to current and potential participants to engage, energize, and educate them on program issues

Logistics Lead

  • Track program deliverables and communications on a daily basis to anticipate future challenges among program participants
  • Coordinate travel and accommodation arrangements for participants to attend the Annual Net Impact Conference and other programmatic events
  • Assist with distribution of funds and prizes and expense tracking in budget documents

Associate, People Operations


  • Create and coordinate events and activities to nurture and sustain Net Impact’s organizational culture and expectations
  • Manage and drive recruitment operations
  • Support with the performance review processes including annual performance reviews as well as quarterly and mid-year check-ins
  • Support the professional development process by organizing internal brown bag lunches, guest speakers, on-site training, online courses, and other opportunities

General Operations

  • Support in office management and materials management to ensure the office has the supplies, technology, and resources needed
  • Assist staff in troubleshooting everyday technology, systems support, and facilities issues

Human Resources

  • Ensure internal compliance and execution of HR policies and procedures
  • Support new hire onboarding & benefits administration as well as departing employees offboarding process

Associate, Chapters

Chapter Leader Support and Resources

  • Provide individualized phone and email consultation to chapters, with a specific focus on new chapters
  • Support chapter leaders by answering email inquiries, hosting webinars, and designing other training opportunities
  • Create and update resources for chapters on the Net Impact website
  • Plan and write communications to chapter leaders, including contributions to newsletters and emails to targeted groups
  • Manage data related to chapters and their leadership across database platforms

Network Growth and Activity

  • Contribute to growth in the chapter community by responding to inquiries to expand the Net Impact network and initiating communications with new chapter leads
  • Implement knowledge-sharing initiatives to disseminate information to the network on chapter activity, events, and operations
