Position: One-Year Fellowship, Instructional Support, Exempt

The Hunt Center Fellow will champion development and implementation of the entrepreneurial teaching and learning experience at Kent Denver. He or she will work to build and coordinate the network of students, teachers, advisors, parents and outside professional adults that participate in the Hunt Center. As Center staff, this position will:

Design a strong entrepreneurship scope and sequence for our students
Teach an middle school elective in entrepreneurship
Assist in teaching an entrepreneurship course, potentially online, as needed
Research and develop curriculum for an Upper School entrepreneurial course to be taught in future years
Lead and grow the Entrepreneurship Club
Create a knowledge base that interested students can tap into as they explore entrepreneurship and decide whether they want to pursue further work in this area.

Design entrepreneurial projects for students and teachers to participate inside and outside the classroom
Assist teachers as they integrate entrepreneurial projects into their classroom.
Support students and teachers who are working on individual class projects
Support school-wide project requiring entrepreneurial integration

Inspire student-directed learning in entrepreneurial education
Receive coaching on the Kent Denver Institute model and philosophy from the Director of Institutes
Oversee the Institute of Entrepreneurial Education
Act as an institute advisor to student-directed projects
Support student development of personalized learning plans
Supervise Independent Studies in Entrepreneurship
Create a student-led institute board
Assist in staffing Kent Denver’s impact studios

Manage and grow the Kent Denver Entrepreneurial Opportunity Network (EON)
match volunteer professionals who have expressed interest in helping student entrepreneurs
Partner with the Alumni Association and Kent Denver parents association to grow professional network

Curate partnerships with national clubs, competitions, and resources in entrepreneurial education
Other duties as assigned and relevant (e.g. advisor, assist / oversee student run cafe, etc)

Qualifications and Experience
Bachelor degree required
previous work in a school environment, preferably with teenagers, is desired
ability to connect with the greater Kent Denver community to promote the work of the Hunt Center
ability to articulate the value of and advocate for the role of entrepreneurial education in the context of an independent school experience
an innovative, action-oriented, creative mindset
an ability to work as a member of a team
experience working in an entrepreneurial setting
excitement around collaborating with other teaching professionals
experience building a network of entrepreneurs desired

40-50 hours per week, including some evenings, nights, and/or weekends from August to June.
$24,000 fellowship salary*
Benefits including retirement, health, dental and option for campus housing

*Alternatives to the fellowship will be considered for those with the appropriate teaching experience.
