Land Program Associate
The mission of The Nature Conservancy is to conserve the lands and waters on which all life depends. Since our founding in 1951, The Nature Conservancy has protected more than 117 million acres of land and 5,000 miles of rivers worldwide — and we operate more than 100 marine conservation projects globally. We have more than 1 million members and dedicated staff working in all 50 United States and more than 30 countries around the world — we are everywhere you want to be!
Are you an early-career conservation professional concerned about the future of California’s natural landscapes? Then consider joining us as a Program Associate to work in our California Land Program. The goals of TNC’s Land Program are to protect and restore the most important natural landscapes of California in an age of changing climate, from the Channel Islands off of Southern California to the majestic forests of the Sierra Nevada. In addition, our Land Program manages the Conservancy’s extensive portfolio of conservation properties across the state, seeking to use them as a laboratory to identify and test the conservation strategies of the future. The Program Associate will provide support to the Land Program Director and the 40+ professionals who make up the team, with a focus on coordinating the program’s fundraising efforts and assisting with overall project management.
Negotiable within any of the major TNC offices in California.
