Your Position at TNC
The NY Executive Assistant & Board Liaison (NY EA) works closely with the Executive Director of The Nature Conservancy in New York by providing direct administrative support. The NY EA also provides support to and is a member of the NY Executive Team. The NY EA will serve as board liaison to the trustees of the Conservancy’s New York State board.
We are looking for a self-starter who is also an eager and positive person to join our team. To be successful and happy in this position, the candidate needs to have confidence in decision making, the ability to handle multiple projects at the same time, the ability to provide top-notch customer service, and demonstrate flexibility. We appreciate collaborative approaches and encourage innovative ideas and recommendations.
• Bachelor’s degree and 3 years related experience or equivalent combination;
• Experience generating reports, and analyzing and interpreting data;
• Experience managing the schedule and contacts of a senior leader;
• Experience with database management; and
• Experience working across departments.
• Multi-lingual skills and multi-cultural or cross-cultural experiences are appreciated;
• Ability to implement complex processes;
• Ability to use existing technology to achieve desired results;
• Demonstrated experience using diplomacy and tact to build strong relationships and motivate staff;
• Experience coordinating projects;
• Experience interpreting guidelines to achieve desired results;
• Experience supervising staff, interns and/or volunteers;
• Strong organization skills, accuracy, attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks;
Successful experience implementing strategic program goals.
