Public Allies New York Apprenticeship Program
Public Allies offers a 10-month apprenticeship program through our partnership with AmeriCorps, where leaders (known as Allies) serve in full-time positions at local NYC nonprofits. Allies receive training in leadership and professional development and join our Public Allies national network of alumni upon graduation.
Our signature 10-month, full-time AmeriCorps program places young leaders (18 and up) with local nonprofit organizations in the city. Our program is informed by growing evidence that volunteerism is a key pathway to civic participation and economic well-being for young adults. Each year we recruit a class of Allies from diverse neighborhoods, backgrounds, and identities, to serve, work, learn, and grow together in a supportive community.
What’s Public Allies?
