Reporting and Analysis Manager
This position is part of the Global Office (GO) Finance and Legal Department. The Manager, Reporting and Analysis is responsible for Room to Read’s financial reporting and analysis, encompassing the worldwide management reporting of Country Office (CO) and GO financial results and updated performance outlook, integration with statutory financial reporting, and the related systems and analytics support. The Manager FPA works in close collaboration with Managers of Donor Finance and Budgeting, the GO Field Finance Director and the Assistant Controller. The position will report directly to the Senior Director of Finance.
Duties & Responsibilities:
-Design and produce reporting that enhances understanding of financial management performance, including achievement of annual budget goals, performance trends in expense and revenue, and drivers of performance variance vs budgets and prior year. Identify, arrange for and train staff resources at key reporting levels (CO’s, Field Finance, GO Finance and Controller’s).
-Integrate key management and statutory reports into a monthly reporting package for C-level review to provide a comprehensive view of financial performance of Room to Read. -------Include projections of key financial performance metrics including overhead, fundraising efficiency, net assets and cash flow.
-Develop and promote analytic models that explore new and ongoing issues about organization wide performance, including impact and cost relationships, modeled Charity Navigator ratings, budget accuracy, staff organization efficiencies, etc.
-Produce periodic review of performance vs. Room to Read’s Strategic Plan, identifying sources of variance and contributing to the review of alternative scenario outcomes.
-Promote the integration of systems, including Intacct and Adaptive (actual and budget), as well as Intacct and NGOC (CRM and GL integration). This includes playing a key role in our cross-system master data management with Development and Accounting, reconciliation of the systems’ results via tie-out reporting, and driving for alignment via problem identification and remediation.
-Improve and expand reporting capability across the organization including the automation of core reporting using cloud-based budget software tool and in Intacct, identifying the use case for each, as well as capacity building among field finance and country office teams, and cross training of other finance team members.
-Team extensively with the Manager of Budgeting to implement enhancements to the budget system and support country offices and field finance team in their development of annual budgets. Liaise with our budget software vendor to ensure appropriate cost-effective levels of support.
-Team extensively with the Manager of Donor Finance to expand the use of Adaptive and Intacct in support of revenue planning and forecasting as well as donor proposal development, expense coding and reporting through more effective use of the systems’ project capabilities.
-Manage projects Perform ad-hoc financial analyses to support the CFO, CDO and CEO. Provide Finance Business Partner services to International Operations.

-A Bachelor’s degree
-7+ years of professional experience in finance
-Prior experience designing high impact financial reporting and building complex financial models using cloud-based EPM tools, including budget and general ledger systems, e.g. -Adaptive Insights and Intacct.
-Expert skill levels in Excel, PowerPoint and high-impact graphics software (e.g. Tableau)
-Demonstrated effectiveness in a fast-paced, growth-oriented global or regional organization, requiring flexibility and adaptability to changing organization priorities
-Ability to promote process improvements that meet the growing organization’s needs for timely information-based decision making
-Prior success working closely and building relationships with diverse groups of people, including Sales/Development, Accounting, and C-level staff.
-Effectiveness in working or volunteering in a non-profit organization that is focused on maintaining high quality work and low overhead
-Prior experience in a fast-paced, growth-oriented global or regional organization
-Proven track record of managing projects and achieving results
-Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
-Ability to juggle multiple priorities simultaneously and take initiative
-Legally eligible to work in the United States; no sponsorship provided
-Successful management of projects that rely on cross functional participants
-Experience with organizational behavioral change for process improvement and efficiency building
-Proven supervisory experience
-General ledger knowledge and experience
-Ability to travel internationally if needed
-Experience using budgeting software and business intelligence tools
