Kiva ( is an innovative non-profit focused on connecting people through lending to alleviate poverty and create opportunity. We run a global marketplace platform for crowdfunded microloans that serves the financially excluded. Our recruiter, initially, will be on the frontlines of finding and attracting the best engineering talent for Kiva. Ideally, this role will expand quickly to attracting talent for other teams at Kiva. A great recruiter excels at talent identification and attraction, and by developing deep partnerships within the community. An outstanding recruiter stands out by doing all of the above combined with strong business acumen, a passion for finding a great fit, and a genuine commitment to providing a stellar candidate experience. As Kiva’s Recruiter, you will manage a full cycle recruiting process to bring on the best and brightest talent. You will build a robust pipeline by actively sourcing candidates, pitching the company, setting up interviews, and finalizing offers.

What you’ll be doing:
*Life Cycle Recruiting
- Utilize knowledge of business needs and priorities to develop recruiting strategies and programs that ensure an ongoing pipeline of top talent for current and future engineering positions
- Demonstrate exceptional sourcing strategies and techniques to attract top talent
- Screen candidates and coordinate team interviews
- Keep abreast of external trends and innovative recruiting and sourcing techniques in order to be competitive in state-of-the-art recruiting practices
- Organize and attend career fairs and industry meetups

*Employer Branding
- Create strategic partnerships with professional organizations, outplacement entities, professional associations, career coaches, universities, and other appropriate organizations
- Ensure a smooth and positive candidate experience
- Organize meet-ups of technical talent to establish Kiva as an employer of choice

*Diversity Recruiting
- Build diversity strategy for technical pipelines
- Identify opportunities for strategic partnerships, internally and externally, to help drive diversity initiatives
- Proactively source candidates from a variety of platforms, prioritizing connecting Kiva with non-traditional, hard-to-reach and underrepresented communities

What you’ll need:
- 3+ years of fast-paced, high volume technical recruiting experience
- Technical acumen to confidently identify strong candidates
- Strong organizational abilities with high attention to detail
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Driven with a "get it done" attitude
- Passion for building diverse and inclusive teams
- A consistent track record of sourcing, recruiting, and closing extraordinary talent, especially passive technical talent
- Strong interpersonal savvy and self-awareness; strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and consistent follow-through in a fast-paced environment
- Experience and proficiency with Applicant Tracking Systems and other recruiting software, ideally Greenhouse and LinkedIn Recruiter
- Ability to connect and effectively communicate with different types of key internal and external stakeholders
- Exceptional teamwork and multi-tasking skills
