In 2010, diet surpassed smoking as the number one risk factor for disease and death in the United States.  By 2018, obesity will cost the U.S. 21% of our total healthcare costs - $344 billion.  (Source: President's Council on Fitness, Sports and Nutrition, fitness.gov).
