Currently, 16.6 percent of Cook County’s population is facing food insecurity, meaning 860,670 people are unsure of when they will have their next meal. In some communities, the food insecurity rate is as high as 1 in 3 individuals. With the support from our food and fund drive, we will help the Food Depository provide food to these communities during challenging times. Even one can of food can make a big difference!

The Food Drive will take place from now until Tuesday, November 25th and donations can be made on the second floor of Douglas Hall. We will collect non-perishable/shelf-stable canned or boxed food items, including grains, protein, and dairy (e.g. Cereal, peanut butter, shelf-stable milk). We will also collect cash/credit donations. These donations can be done in person or online at our food drive website. Please see the attached flyer for more information and feel free to send it to anyone that you think might be interested in contributing!
