A financier by training, Sarinee Achavanuntakul is a Thai writer, blogger, and social critic. She writes regularly about sustainable development and social business in various publications including Krungthep Turakij newspaper. She is the co-founder and Editorial Board of ThaiPublica (www.thaipublica.org), an online investigative news organization which she launched with a group of veteran investigative journalists in September, 2011. In 2012 she served as member of Broadcast Consumer Protection Sub-committee, Office of the National Broadcasting and Telecommunications Commission. In July 2013, she co-founded Sal Forest Co. Ltd. (www.salforest.com), Thailand's first "sustainable business accelerator" aimed at fostering discourse on sustainable business in Thailand, and currently serves as Managing Director, Knowledge Development. She is also an Adjunct Professor at Thammasat University, Faculty of Commerce and Accounting.
