Join Taylor Amerman, Brown-Forman's North American Regional Alcohol Responsibility Manager, for an honest conversation about how she promotes responsibility in an seemingly "irresponsible" industry.

As one of the top 10 global spirits companies with brands like Jack Daniel's, Finlandia Vodka, and Woodford Reserve, Brown-Forman is a publicly-traded family-controlled company with a strong interest in contributing to a culture of responsible consumption. Its tradition of leadership in alcohol responsibility began 75 years ago when family member Owsley Brown I founded what is now the Distilled Spirits Council of the United States (DISCUS), a trade association committed to responsibility. Today Brown-Forman continues to build on this legacy through an alcohol responsibility strategy with four components:

-Industry collaboration and thought leadership
-Practicing responsible marketing
-Reducing alcohol related harms
-Promoting responsible drinking

After a short introduction, Taylor will dive deeper into some of the alcohol responsibility partnerships highlighted on the company's website, like the one with FundaciĆ³n de Investigaciones Sociales (FISAC), a Mexican non-profit established to promote responsible alcohol consumption in Mexico through health education and a culture of responsibility.

The evening will end with an informal Q&A and interactive discussion where students can chime in on the opportunities and challenges they see for Brown-Forman ahead.
