This event is part of Net Impact's Dinner Series where 7-10 students meet with a professor to discuss specific topics relating to the professor's work and studies over a dinner from Roots. This gives students the opportunity to discuss topics they do not have the chance to take classes in or don't have time to discuss with their professor in class. It also provides a more intimate setting where students can talk freely and ask questions. This event will be held with Professor Freedman and the topic of the night will food politics. Discussion will be about the impacts of our industrialized food system on our planet and health, policies that shape our food system like the farm bill, the growth of the local food movement and what exactly it means to eat local, the organic food industry, and more.
