Matthew Stotts is an impact investor focused on open-source software aimed at social and environmental change. He has been actively making angel investments for the past nine years and is Chair of the MIT Enterprise Forum of the Central Coast and Vice Chair of the Sustainable Change Alliance, a community-focused impact investment network.

The founder of Tenor Partners, a tech marketing and VC advisory, Matthew has worked with over 90 tech management teams from pre-seed to IPO and helped two dozen venture capital firms with branding, deal flow and fundraising, representing over 30 funds and $8 billion in AUM.

He is a lecturer in UC Santa Barbara's College of Engineering, Technology Management Program, teaching a graduate course on entrepreneurship, a certificate course on business strategy and finance, and a class on market-tested business models that prepares teams for the university-wide business plan competition.Matthew was a part of UC Berkeley class of '92 and was a former lecturer in Stanford's EPGY (Education Program for Gifted Youth) from 1997-1999.
