Chapter Advisors are required for student Chapters and are essential for providing strategic guidance as well as access to networks and resources. Advisors can include faculty members, staff, or other members of school administration.
Another option for advice and guidance is to have a Chapter Advisory Board. Members could include former Chapter Leaders, school alumni, local leaders, and/or other people passionate about the Net Impact mission. This is an opportunity to gain institutional knowledge, provide contacts and resources for Chapters, and receive counsel on strategic issues. You want to ensure a variety of perspectives are represented on your board so make sure you have different identities (race, gender, age, etc) represented. This will bring the most value to your Chapter.
