Your Chapter's Microsite

Each chapter has a special webpage (called a microsite) hosted on the Net Impact website. You can post events, track your membership, and so much more through this great page. If you don't know your chapter's URL you can search for your chapter in the upper right on this page.

Below are directions for how to use key features of the site. If you have any questions, please email us at chapters@netimpact.org

How to log into to your Chapter Leader Profile

If you do not have a Net Impact Account:

  • Go to the Net Impact website
  • Select the Join button on the Net Impact site
  • Join with your LinkedIn account or your email address
  • After you create an account, select the My Chapters drop down in the blue menu bar
  • If you do not see your Chapter in the dropdown select the Find a Chapter option
  • Search for your Chapter by Keyword and click Submit
  • Select Join this Chapter
  • Once you have joined your chapter email the Chapters Team at Net Impact Central so we can verify your leadership and give your permission to edit your chapter's page

Note: Once there is one Chapter Leader who has access to the microsite that individual will have the ability to add more Chapter Leaders.

If you already have a Net Impact Account:

  • Go to the Net Impact website
  • Select the Log in button on the Net Impact site
  • Login with your LinkedIn account or your email address
  • Select the My Chapters drop down in the blue menu bar
  • If you do not see your Chapter in the dropdown select the  Find a Chapter option
  • Search for your Chapter by Keyword and click Submit
  • Select Join this Chapter
  • Once you have joined your chapter email the Chapters Team at Net Impact Central so we can verify your leadership and give your permission to edit your chapter

Note: Once there is one Chapter Leader who has access to the microsite that individual will have the ability to add more Chapter Leaders.

Navigate to your Chapters microsite by using the My Chapters drop down in the blue menu bar

  • Select the Edit Page link
  • Fill in your Chapters’ general information. Note: “Chapter Name” must include “Net Impact” for all Chapter except affiliates. Contact chapters@netimpact.org if you have any questions about this.
  • Update your microsite Header Image and Welcome Message in the Chapter Home
  • Update your microsite About Us Page in the About Us Page section
    • The Panels section will show default content until you add your own

How to post an Announcement for your Chapter

  • On your microsite home page, select the + Post an Announcement
  • Fill in the Title and Body
  • Select the Chapter to post the announcement to
  • Select Save

How to add a new Event

  • On your Chapter’s microsite, navigate to the Events tab
  • Select the Post an Event button
  • Fill in the required fields and photo for your event
  • Select Save

How to manage your Membership

  • On your Chapter’s microsite, navigate to the Members tab. (Note: Only Chapter members and Chapter Leaders can access this page)
  • Select the Manage Member button

On the Member Management page you can perform the following actions through the “Operations” menu:

  • Modify Roles - add an existing member to the Chapter Leadership team
  • Modify Member Status - Remove unwanted members by changing their status to “blocked”
  • Remove Members – This function does not currently work so if you want to remove someone from your Chapter change their status to “Blocked”

How to make a member a Chapter Leader

  • On the Member Management page, select the check box of the member(s) you want to mark as Chapter Leaders
  • Under Operations, select the dropdown, and choose Modify OG user roles and select Execute
  • Under the add roles section, select the Chapter Leader role then click Next

How to remove a member from your group

  • On the Member Management page, select the check box of the members you want to remove from the Chapter
  • Under Operations select the dropdown and choose Modify membership status and select Execute
  • Under the State section select Blocked then click Next
  • Finally click Confirm
