A Single Drop

Gemma Bulos is the Founder and Executive Director of A Single Drop (ASD), a social-profit organization building the capacity of self-reliant partnerships to plan and implement community-driven clean water and sanitation solutions. Gemma is the recipient of Echoing Green Fellowship in 2007 and is the 2009 Ernst and Young Social Entrepreneur of the Year. An “accidental activist”, Gemma was a pre-school teacher and professional jazz singer who was not on her regular 8:50am train to the World Trade Center on September 11. She launched the Million Voice Choir with the goal of uniting people and promoting collaboration through our shared need for water.
